And today we have something else to share that has just blown our minds because Jarrod and I have this business mentor, and he was talking the other day about something that applies to health.
He's not a health mentor, he's a business mentor. But God took that seed and planted it in us and all of a sudden, we're talking about how this affects weight loss and other areas of health as well. And what he was sharing was, he does not make goals. He doesn't make goals like most people do. And what I mean by that is, and I'm going to take it into the weight loss space or into the health space for you so you can understand with this example.
So if you're wanting to lose weight, a goal you might make, a typical goal that we see a lot of people make is I want to lose weight. Now you might take it a step further and say, I want to lose X amount of pounds, but that's your goal. But it doesn't work. This is the reason he said he doesn't make these types of goals.
That does not work, because you're looking at this thing you want, and you're dreaming about it, and you're thinking about it. But somehow it still seems out of reach, because there really isn't a plan to get there. What you want to do is have the goal of reaching inputs. The input that you put into your life, the things that you're doing on a regular basis, determine where you are today.
And they will also determine, if you keep doing those same things, how much farther down the same road you're on in the future. But the amazing thing is, if you start putting different inputs into your life, and they are the right inputs, the inputs that we know lead to the destination, the ultimate goal that you want to reach.
Your life will be so much different. You now have the opportunity and the possibility to reach that goal. Because the goal, the ultimate goal, what you ultimately wanted wasn't your actual goal. You didn't just walk around and say, oh I want to get healthier. So, um, I might try this, and I might try that, and that's my goal, and I'm, I just really want it, I really want it.
Well, you can want it all you want. But the inputs that you're putting into your life are going to have to change in order to get a different result. To get that result that you want.
Jarrod: A great illustration for that would be thinking about a formula or an equation. Now in school, there are all kinds of formulas for chemistry, physics, math, algebra.
I'll keep it simple here. Let's do a simple algebra equation. So x plus 2 equals y. If I want y to be 5, I have to have a specific input for X.
So what is that input going to be for X plus 2 equals 5? Well, X has to be 3.
Anita: It has to be three.
Jarrod: So, in this situation, don't make a specific goal. Have a formula that will give you that goal, but then you have to put the correct input into that formula to get the end product, the goal, the thing that you want.
Anita: So you have to start thinking about the inputs. What are those? And those become your goals. You find the inputs that are the correct inputs that lead to where you want to be and learn the way that they will keep you there. Right? So, you want those inputs that will not only get you to your goal, but keep you there.
And therefore, they need to be inputs that work with your real life, but inputs that actually will bring you that result, and keep you there. And keep you there. And this isn't just about weight loss, it could be any health thing. If we look at it and we know, hey, whole plant foods reverse heart disease, they open up blood vessels, they decrease inflammation, they heal the gut. And, we could talk all day about just having gut health and how that's going to change your life. Or just having opened vessels and now the great stuff can get in and the garbage can get out.
Oh my goodness, that's going to change your life. If you have the input that does those things, you're going to get the end result of feeling better. So if you have the input of the things that we know naturally lead to weight loss and the other things are not being put in that cause you to be overweight, that cause you to struggle with your weight day after day, or whatever health problem it is that you're dealing with.
So we remove those inputs that are causing the problem and we make the inputs that we know bring about the change we want. Those become our goals. Those are our goals, not the end goal. The input, because we know beyond the shadow of a doubt, research shows that when you eat whole plant foods, you are going to drop pounds.
You are. If you stop eating the other things that are causing the weight to stay on. So if we know that, then we've got to focus on our goal being to eat more and more and more whole plant foods and less and less of the things that we know are the inputs that are sabotaging our ability to get to the final destination that we want to land at.
Jarrod: And I think the importance of this is if all your, mental energy, all your intention and desire is just on what the outcome is, but never really, well, I was thinking obsessed, maybe not quite obsessing, but really, maybe being very intentional about the input to the equation. Because if you put your energy there, How am I going to love plant based?
How am I going to do in a way that is sustainable? How am I going to get the most nutrient dense foods in my body? If you're focused on that, you're going to get that outcome. But if you're looking just at the outcome thinking, I really want to be healthy. That doesn't get you anywhere. That doesn't move the needle anywhere.
If there's not some kind of action. So you're focusing more on the action, less on the result. But we know because of the equation, you put 3 in the place of x, plus 2, you're going to get 5. It's going to happen.
Anita: And that is so important because there you're saying, "how do I?" That is the first step, but "how" still is not putting the input. You're first learning, but you can learn all the things that you need to know. We could teach you our five steps of our success path, the Power On Plants Success Path, and walk you through every one of those and you could learn them all.
You could learn all the information. Oh, I know this. Oh, I know that. Oh, it's so great. But the how is still not the ultimate input. You're not doing the how that you know how to do. And so it's in the doing of reaching those specific goals, learning how to get my mindset right. Now I'm doing those things I learned.
Now I'm going to learn how to get my environment set up right, the people, places, and things around me. Once I learn the way to do that is realistic and actually works, and I start taking the steps to do those things, there's the input for that. That's step two.
Step three. How do I make my food taste delicious? I learned how to make it taste delicious. Whole plant foods. I know whole plant foods are the answer. That's the how. Now I know how to make them delicious, now I'm going to start taking the steps to do those things. To create those new habits to make it delicious.
Step four. How do I make it rapid?
How do I make it quick? How do I make it work with my busy schedule? Now I know it, now I'm going to start doing those new ways that I've learned.
And then step number five. How do I make it simple? How do I cut out the processes that are not necessary? Can I tell you how many times I pick up a recipe and I go, why in the world are there three steps here when this could be done in one pot or bowl?
I'm all about that. I'm telling you, friends.
Jarrod: Why are we dirtying up all these dishes when it could have just been done in one bowl, five?
Anita: It takes me longer. I have to wash more dishes. It's more straining on my brain. I do not have time for all this. It's insanity. And so when you learn how to simplify by putting things to work for you, processes, equipment, different things, it does not have to be difficult.
It can be so simple. And now I know how. Now I'm going to put the input of doing those things. Again, it's not hard. It's just. What you know and putting those inputs in, but if you're walking around saying yourself, I'm gonna get healthy. I'm gonna get healthy. I'm gonna beat this thing.
I'm somehow gonna learn how to get beyond this disease. I'm gonna lose my weight and nothing is changing. You're not learning or you know plant based is the answer. You've been playing around with it for years. But you haven't found the way to make it sustainable and then started implementing those things you know,
And this is what we show you how to do time and again, make these input things your goal.
Some of the input again is removing the things that you know sabotaging you. We're going to walk you through that in the course as well, but we share the ways to get started here. We don't say, "Hey, you have to pay us before you start getting results." Listen, we have a lot of people who are getting amazing results just by listening to the podcast because they're putting the input in, they're doing the things that we say and they're learning.
And then they're coming into the room going, "my life has changed. I can't believe this. This is already reversing. What do I do next? I need recipes. I need some really good recipes I can rely on." So they get our current cookbook. They're going to be the ones in line getting the next cookbook as soon as it comes out.
Thrive, our new cookbook, is about to come out. These recipes are amazing. They are game changers. They make it delicious. They make it quick. They make it simple. This is where you start. But it's not just about recipes. So now you learn, Hey, they've got a course coming. I'm so excited. So the program comes out, you join us inside that community, inside that program, you're going to get the next level of inputs to take you even farther. Yes. You're already getting results. Yes. You're already getting there, but it's one step and then the next step and then the next step. And before long, you are free.
This is what Jarrod and I experienced, but it took us years. It does not have to take you so many years and so much frustration of trying to figure out, what do I eat? How do I fix it? Where do I buy it? What do I buy? What do I look for? Where am I getting sabotaged? Where am I getting off track? What is holding me back?
Spiritual things you didn't even know, like stuff that we've learned along the way. From the Word that are so simple. It's like we've been reading the word for years. Why have we not seen this before that God's shown us on this path that we are going to be showing you in the course. These are the things that are going to change things for you.
So I don't want you to walk around anymore, because we literally have seen people that say they want to do this. And talk to us, but they either don't really want to learn the processes, or they say they do and they get the input, but then they let something derail them because they don't understand the importance of guarding their inputs and continuing to have the inputs that will bring them that goal.
And the inputs become your goal, the things you do on a regular basis, because once you reach those, those are the measurable things, right? You know if you're getting results because you know if x is 3, and if you do this thing, 3 is going to bring you 5. 3 is going to bring you the result that you're after.
And I'm using the analogy of the 2 plus... you said 2 plus x equals 5, right?
Jarrod: X plus 2 equals y.
Anita: Y, and was
Jarrod: Three plus two equals five. Now if you want five, you can't make it seven plus two. Well, that equals nine. Wrong input, not gonna get you the result that you
Anita: But you can't just hope for five if you don't have any input at all or you're not changing the input that you have now never bringing you five Does that make sense? I hope this makes sense to you because this blew our minds.
When we were thinking about it with business, it blew our minds. But when God started showing us this about health, I told Jarrod, I said, look, we have got to share this. This is something we need to share. And we were thinking about sharing it just inside the course, but I'm going deeper with these things in the course.
You need to get this revelation now so that you can start down the path of gaining momentum of being able to get unstuck. We don't want you to come into the program and be stuck. We want you to already start having freedom, already start having results, so that you can start to see what's possible. It hurts our hearts to see those who are struggling continually with the same things over and over again because they're dreaming of losing weight. Or they're dreaming of being free from their diabetes, or they're dreaming of a time where their joints no longer ache, and they don't have brain fog, and they can start their business, and they can move to the next level in it, because they can help other people get set free in their area of giftedness, which they couldn't do before, and they were struggling with that.
All because we're focusing on, "I just want to get rid of this thing."
Okay,
but you know what to do. You know, what's going to help get you better. Let's just say you didn't get a hundred percent improvement. What if you got 75 percent improvement? What would your life look like for you?
I just want to throw that out there.
Sometimes you think, well, that's not going to work. Well, is that true? Or is that a lie from the enemy? Could I get 75 percent improvement? I challenge you to start implementing one step at a time that we're sharing with you just here on the podcast, Because I promise you if you start getting results here doing this, and then you add the recipes from the cookbook, and then you come into pie, and you start sharing and learning and growing, and you get all of our episodes every single one searchable to take you to the exact place to answer the questions you're looking to get answers for so you can get started. And then you come into the program and you're in that community and we're able to share more with you because we're able to have that time with you. Where we have Weekly Q and A's, where we have live group coaching sessions, where you're able to get your specific questions answered, where we can go deeper and teach you the things that we don't have time to do on a short podcast every week.
We just are getting you started here. Yes, you can get amazing results, but these inputs, you need to learn what they are. They're not hard. They're not complicated, but when they become your habits, and they're the things you do, and now you're no longer just saying, I want to get rid of this thing. And you're dreaming of it all your entire life and never getting results.
You can break free. And this is how you do it. You make measurable things that you now know how to do your goal. This is the way you'll know that you're making progress, because you can look at these things, these inputs, as you do them, and you can physically see, and physically feel whether they're bringing you results or not. And we know that we know that we know that when you find the way to make whole food, plant based living sustainable because these are the foods that heal your body.
And when you get the junk out that's causing the issues in the first place, you do both of those things. These are the inputs that are going to bring a massive change for you. And open up amazing possibilities in your life that you didn't even dream could be possible for you anymore because of your age or your bad genes.
