No longer be held back by your health struggles and actively live your life, then you're in the right place. So grab your favorite plant-based cup of happy pop in those earbuds and let's get started.

Speaker 1:

If you are a purpose-driven Christian woman and you have things that God's placed on your heart that you want to do in this amazing life that you've been given, but you find yourself spending your days exhausted, teary-eyed, wondering why you're going through the health struggles you're going through, wondering where the help is going to come from, wondering why you can't find answers, a traditional medical route, feeling frustrated on the daily because you can't seem to do the things that you want to do, and you keep having to deal with these health struggles that make you feel exhausted and all you want is to just feel good so you can do those things. I want you to know that you're not alone. I get it. I've been there before. This was exactly my story a little over 10 years ago. I was right there in that place feeling the same way, and it was heartbreaking and it was frustrating, and I get it. I want you to know that I see you. I understand what you're going through. I know what it's like to feel those feelings, but I also want you to walk away from hearing this, knowing that God cares about you and that he does not want you to be sick. That is biblical what I'm saying to you right now. He does not want you to be sick. His desire is for you to be well, and there are things that you can do that perhaps you haven't learned or been told that can help your body to heal. He actually created your body to heal.

Speaker 1:

The frustration comes when you're seeking out help and you can't seem to get it. The frustration comes from having to deal on the daily with feeling poorly and thinking I've tried everything, I'm trying to eat healthy, I've eaten organic and grass-fed and cage-free and no hormone added, and what else am I supposed to take away? What else can I do? And it just feels sometimes like you're so alone. What I want to do is speak to you today, if that's you, and let you know that God put this message on my heart to share at the beginning of this episode, because he sees you and he cares about you. This is for you. You are loved, you are prayed for and you are seen. So if you're here, because he's shown you that whole plant foods are the things that are going to help you heal, that fruits and vegetables, whole grains, nuts and seeds are good for you, and we know this. Right, we've been taught this from an early age, generally by our families, especially our elders. Right, the grandparents in our family eat your fruits and veggies, those kind of things.

Speaker 1:

But the frustration sets in when you don't know how to eat those foods. You think, well, I can't eat salads the rest of my life. I mean, what am I supposed to do with that? How can I ever survive eating this way and making it stick? And then the other problem is you've been told so many lies through so many avenues from our enemy. We have a common enemy who wants to steal from you, who wants to steal your health, who wants to harm you, who wants you to not feel good on the regular. He loves that, because then when you don't feel good and you can't think clearly and you're dealing with all these health struggles and you're told things like you're going to have this forever and you take that on as your identity, what happens is you feel stuck and you stay stuck and you think you have to do another miserable diet and you don't know how that's going to work, or you think you're going to have to add another medication and then another one to deal with the side effects of that medication, and you get in this vicious cycle of feeling like nothing is ever going to change. But that could not be farther from the truth.

Speaker 1:

So what I want you to know today is that we care about you, we are here for you, and there are some amazing things that you can eat. It does not have to be hard when you know how to eat plant-based the sustainable way. It is not hard. It's the easiest way I can ever imagine eating when you know how it is quick, it is simple and it tastes amazing. So much so that once you have that, stacked on top of the fact that you're feeling better and better every single day, you have a winning combination for a lifestyle that is going to last. So if that was for you, take it to heart and understand that God sees you, he knows what you're going through, you are not alone. And if you are looking for a place filled with real believers who are having real struggles, who are transparent about those struggles and the victories that they're gaining through learning how to eat whole plant-based, the Power on Plants way. Come right now and join us inside of our free group that we've set up to help you get out of the situation you're in. At poweronplantscom forward slash P-I-E.

Speaker 1:

Today, jared and I want to share with you one simple hummus secret that might just blow your mind. Why is this important? These things are key for helping you step out of that situation because you've got to learn how to get things into your life that taste amazing. It's not just about getting rid of the things that have been sabotaging you. You've got to learn what those things are and how do you get them out of your life successfully so that it lasts. And then how do you then replace them? You're never going to leave an empty hole, so you've got to learn how do you replace them and what do you replace them with and where do you find those things.

Speaker 1:

And it sounds like a lot in the beginning, but when you have someone to guide you through these steps and to show you the things that actually taste good, so you don't waste your time on long drawn-out recipes with long ingredients lists and trying to figure out how to make it last and trying to keep falling off the wagon and all these things that just don't have to be. When you learn simple secrets like the one we're going to share with you today, everything becomes so much easier. You start feeling better and you've just got the winning combo. So this one hummus secret that we want to share with you, you know, I thought we'll just kind of narrow it down this time, because we always say to you just take one thing, just one thing. And so today we're just one thing, just one thing. So today, we're just going to give you one thing.

Speaker 2:

You don't have to select what that one thing is. We're just going to give you the one one thing that you can work on today.

Speaker 1:

We are. But the thing is is there is variety within the one thing that is going to blow your mind. I want you to start thinking about this, because you've believed a lie that this is going to be difficult and going to somehow limit you or limit your choices. This way of eating, when done the right way, is not going to limit you. It's actually going to open up so many more options for you. So the one simple hummus secret that just might blow your mind is you can make hummus with almost any bean.

Speaker 1:

Now I know that traditionally it's made with garbanzos. We've even lately been mixing it up and adding some black garbanzos, which is also delicious. It just looks a little different, but they taste amazing. Texture's a little different, but you can make hummus with those. What about black beans? Now, what if you added black beans to that same recipe, or white beans or pintos, or white beans or pintos or red beans? Jared and I have used all of these beans to make the most delicious hummus. It is amazing. And then you can take this one ingredient and we can show you how to make this meal from it and that meal from it.

Speaker 1:

There's so many ways you can use hummus, but if you just learn how to make this one basic recipe and wrap your mind around the fact of how simple this is, and then you start thinking but wait, I can change it up by just changing the bean. Now I'm getting a greater variety of nutrients. My body is going to thank me because I'm not eating the same kind of hummus all the time. It's not going to have any oil added and sabotage my health like the ones that I'm going to buy at the store. That have oils added, that cause inflammation and pain in my joints and cause me to have low energy, that have added preservatives or colors or flavorings or any of those kind of things that are there and set you up for failure. So now that you know that you can take one hummus recipe, once you get the one that you love, you're going to take it and start switching up the beans when you make it. You'll get a different flavor, you'll get a much wider variety of nutrients and it just keeps things fun and exciting. So I want you to start switching it up.

Speaker 1:

But maybe you're not sure how to even make hummus. Anita, what do I do? I don't want you to worry about that, because Jared and I have set up a site for you today where you can go to poweronplantscom forward slash hummus, poweronplantscom forward slash h-u-m-m-u-s. And just put in your name and email and we are going to send out our hummus recipe to you for free. Now, if you already have the original cookbook bundle, you can find it in our original cookbook as well.

Speaker 1:

I want you to get in there and do yourself a favor and make this recipe. You can use it on so many things. And then I want you to come inside our free group that I told you about, because you are going to gain the support that you need from a heartfelt community that we're all rallying together to help each other, and come in there and share about the hummus that you need from a heartfelt community that we're all rallying together to help each other, and come in there and share about the hummus that you're going to try or that you have tried, that's made with a different bean. Now I guess officially I mean some avid hummus people out there.

Speaker 2:

Purist.

Speaker 1:

Purist. They may not love this tip, but I'm just going to tell you. Okay, maybe they don't like if we call it hummus, let's just call it something else. We can call it red bean dip, whatever. I don't care what you call it, it's the same base recipe. Take that recipe and use it to make these different bean dips, and down the road, I'm going to be showing you how to do these things, walking you through different ways that you can use some of these base recipes, like hummus, to build your recipe arsenal, to show you what to cook when you don't even have time to cook, and recipes that don't even require a recipe.

Speaker 1:

But really, this recipe is so simple, it has so few ingredients and you throw it into your blender or your food processor, press, start and it's done. We make hummus and have it in our refrigerator on the regular. It's one of the things you can make a larger batch, it'll last for a while in your refrigerator and you can snack on it and eat it in so many different ways. So start today switching things up with your hummus, trying different beans. Do you have a favorite bean Jared that you like? Your hummus made with.

Speaker 2:

I'm not saying that I'm a purist, but I like garbanzo.

Speaker 1:

You do.

Speaker 2:

I just do, but the other ones are great, but I just think of hummus as being garbanzo, because that's the original. If you're a purist you want to name it something other than hummus. I guess you could call it a bean spread or a bean dip.

Speaker 1:

I'm trying not to.

Speaker 2:

I don't know, maybe we can come up with a creative power on plants name.

Speaker 1:

I'm trying not to laugh because I think a lot of times, when you think you're eating garbanzos, it's not garbanzos. Well, that may be, you get a lot more variety than you even know that you get.

Speaker 2:

Everyone may be, which is proof. Ladies that are out there, if you're worried about your husband, just make it. Just make it.

Speaker 1:

They'll eat it and they probably won't even know, and if they don't want to eat it, once they see you eating it and this has been proven time and time again with our clients that we've worked with in the past their husband's going to get curious, and nine out of ten times after a little while he's going to want to try a bite of that If you're not pushing it on him.

Speaker 2:

It was sad, hey that smells kind of good. You look like you're enjoying that.

Speaker 1:

So don't be afraid to try new things. Be afraid to try new things. Get into the group at poweronplantscom forward slash pie and get the support that you so desperately long for.
