We, too, tried exercising more, eating natural and clean foods, but we still found ourselves struggling with what we thought were changes that come with age or bad genes, and we weren't finding answers the traditional route. So we dug into the research and created our secret nutritional weapon sustainable plant-based living. The truth is, you can eat more whole plant foods, and it's not hard. You just need the way that's realistic and delicious so you never feel deprived. I'm Anita, a nurse and certified integrative nutrition health coach.

And I'm Jared, a certified lifestyle medicine physician assistant. Anita and I have been married for 32 years and we're passionate about helping you eat more whole plant foods in the way that's simple and exciting, so you can heal naturally and finally feel good to fully enjoy life. And on that note, today I wanna share a quick quote that really struck me recently, and it's this a healthy person has a thousand dreams, but a sick person has only one. Think about that for a second A healthy person has a thousand dreams, but a sick person has only one. Okay, that is so true, and you know what? My one?

dream was when I was sick To just feel better. And you know what my one dream was when I was sick To just feel better. I have a feeling that some of you who are listening right now know exactly how this feels. And beyond that one dream, when you don't feel well, it's hard to imagine that anything else is even possible, much less pursue the dreams that God has placed in your heart.

Speaker 1:

If you only knew how much this hits home for me, because when I hit 40, my health struggles were robbing me of so much time that I could have been spending living out my dreams, fully showing up for my family and creating the life that I knew I was called to live. But instead of being able to get out there and actively live that life, I was stuck trying to just get through each day and my dreams felt so far away. I know firsthand how discouraging and how isolating that can feel, but I also know what becomes possible when you start to reclaim your health, one step at a time. This quote that Jer just shared reminds me of another truth that's been on my mind lately, and it's this Without health, you cannot create your masterpiece. Think about that for a second. You were created for a beautiful purpose and to live that purpose, to bring your unique gifts to the world, your body needs to feel good.

Think about it. When you're healthy, the world feels wide open. You can dream big and show up for your family. You're able to create and serve and actively live out your purpose. But when you struggle with your health, everything narrows. Your dreams get put on hold because your focus shifts to just getting through that day.

Speaker 1:

That's absolutely true, which is exactly why we are so very passionate about sharing with you how whole plant foods, the real vibrant, nutrient-packed foods, can help you reclaim your health and, with it, your dreams and this has been known for so long.

Think about how long ago Hippocrates said, and with good reason let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food. The food you eat either drags your health down or it can be the safest and most powerful form of medicine. Over and over we see this in the research and with our clients that whole plant foods fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, nuts and seeds help to dramatically improve the top health struggles of our time and so many times even reverse them. It just never gets old because we spend a lot of years as medical professionals helping our clients to manage their diseases and now we get to regularly see them reverse diagnosis like type 2 diabetes, low energy, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, autoimmune diseases, brain fog and so many more.

She found herself exhausted and frustrated with her health, but after embracing whole plant foods, we saw her discover a new wellspring of energy and, as a result, she began creating thoughtful, homemade items to help people through their grief, turning her newfound vitality into a mission that brings comfort and hope to others.

Just like Alex and Christy, I'm sure that God has placed a dream into your heart, and I want to encourage you that you can feel better. There was a time when I actually thought that I would never feel good, and it was such a hard place to be, but no one was telling me that it was even possible for me to feel good, and that is not your story. We want you to walk away from this episode fully encouraged that when you nourish your body optimally. By eating more whole plant foods in the way that's simple and that you actually enjoy, things can very quickly begin to improve for you. I know it may feel hard to believe, but it's true. Learning the realistic way to enjoy more whole plant foods can help you unlock the energy and the clarity and the passion you need to see your dreams become reality.

So what does life look like when you feel amazing? Imagine waking up with energy, a clear mind and a sense of purpose. Imagine having the stamina to play with your kids, the focus to build your. Imagine having the stamina to play with your kids, the focus to build your business and the creativity to write, paint or serve others. When you're healthy, you can dream big and actually take steps to make those dreams happen.

So take a moment. What's one dream you put on hold because you haven't felt your best? What would you pursue if your body felt amazing every single day? Picture that, wouldn't it be incredible? Now, before we go, as always, we want to give you some practical next steps. So let's first talk about how to make this lifestyle simple and sustainable. First, follow the KISS method. Keep it simple, sunshine. What you know. That's what it really stands for, don't you? Whether keeping it simple for you means meal prepping at the start of each week so your week feels less hectic, having that same go-to overnight oats for your breakfast that you love on repeat, or buying your broccoli pre-chopped and pre-washed? Start implementing the habits today that make whole food, plant-based eating feel simple to you.

And next, always be on the lookout for time-saving tips like ways to chop your veggies faster or putting the time-saving appliances, like an Instant Pot, to work for you. And here's the most important part implement the time savers that you learn as quickly as possible so they become the new habits you love that get you out of the kitchen sooner and back to living your life.

And strategy number three, one of my all-time favorites keep a running list of your new favorite whole food plant-based meals.
