And if you haven't been following us for long, you may not have ever heard this story about what my life was like before we've started eating whole food plant-based. Maybe you know what this is like too? your energy crashes during the day And I was developing stacking diagnosis in my life. So I hit 40 and I hit a wall with my health. So it was this diagnosis, that diagnosis, this diagnosis, like I was just so tired of stacking diagnosis and no one being able to really give me an answer. Sure, maybe they wanted to throw pills at it or maybe do a procedure, but they were always telling me, oh, this is just something you're gonna have. And I was always led to believe, oh, well you're just. This age, you know? And these things just kind of happen and maybe it's your genes, and these are lies that we have to get beyond because we know as believers, the Bible says you were created to go from strength to strength, and glory to glory as you age. You should be getting stronger, not weaker. That's not what we see in our society. That's not what we see around us, and that's not what the media tells us, and that's not what our healthcare providers are normally telling us. And so it's really confusing when you hear somebody say what I've just said. About, that's not normal. When you're trained all your life, it's normal and you're trained so much so that it's on your tongue. On the regular, somebody asks you how you're doing. Yeah, well, you know how it is, I'm just getting older, so I've got this creaky elbow, and I got this knees acting up and no, I got my hand in a brace now. Like this is not normal. I have low energy. I just don't feel good. You know how it is, you just get tired midday. No, we're 55 and we don't know how it is and it's not'cause we got special genes or a special age. We're 55. I can honestly tell you I have more energy at 55 than I did at 40. That is the power of these foods when done right, so that it sticks so that it's long term and so you love it.

Aging Is Not A Disease

No, it's not because we have special genes that we have the energy and, and don't have aches and pains like we used to. And it's, it's, it's not really funny, but sometimes in my mind it kind of is. When I hear someone that's 30 saying. I guess I'm just getting old, like I'm a quarter of a century older than you and I do not have these problems. You do not have to have these problems. You just don't.

Back To The Garden Mindset

it's like you always say aging is not a disease. Write it down. Aging is not a disease. Start saying that to yourself. We need to replace our words. Because you're so programmed, You probably walk around saying negative things about your health. Think about it and start noticing your words. Are you walking around saying things like, well, I'm just getting older. Maybe you're not saying it yet, maybe you're just thinking it, but those thoughts and those words can be very damaging and it's time to replace them with truth. What would it be like for you if you no longer had those thoughts and said those words and believed those things and thought, Hey, this quote, ironic thing That I've been given a name for, that I'm dealing with in my body. I'm not saying you're not dealing with something right now. I'm just saying give yourself the words that you can say, Hey, I can actually get beyond this. There is a way out. I don't have to have this the rest of my life. You know, they'll give you a diagnosis and then say, and you're gonna have this for the rest of your life. And it's like the gavel falls. cause somebody walked in in a white coat with a stethoscope around their neck, and now you take that on as who you are. But what if it didn't have to be that way? What if at 55 you could have more energy than you did at 40? Well, I'm here to tell you it can happen because it happened for both of us, and it's happened for our clients and our patients time and time again. The important thing is to learn how to get back to simplicity, That involves getting back to the garden. So think about it with anything in your life when you can get back to garden ways, and I'm talking Bible here. So go back to Garden of Eden. Put yourself there. If you were back in the garden, how would it be? What would you be doing? you would be spending time every day walking and talking with your Lord, having close intimacy with him. The intimacy that according to John 17, three, you were created to have. That is what Yeshua, Jesus died to give you back. Not religion, not church. Although I'm not knocking church, I'm just saying. He did not die so you could go back to church. He died to bring you back into close, intimate fellowship, one-on-one every day with father. What would your life be like if you returned to the garden? In other words, you had time every day where you had quiet, intentional time with God. You allowed him to speak to you, give you ideas, give you dreams, give you thoughts and directions just like Jesus did, just like Adam and Eve did. Every day an intimate fellowship with Father How would that change your outlook? How would that change the possibilities in your life, and how would that change your health? Because absolutely. your spiritual health affects your physical health as well,

And how does that contrast with the way things are done today? Man's ways. We've come up with all these diets and all these methods, and I'll just say methods instead of having to go through the whole list of things that people do. But we see many diets that are just reiterations of the same old thing. We keep doing time and time again, and we find that we expend more effort and get far less results. But when we get into synchronization with the way the Lord set things up, Genesis 1 29. Just talking about the food aspect. Right now, when we eat what God designed our bodies to have, we get more results with less effort. Our ways of eating are quick. They're simple, they taste amazing. Weight comes off. Blood pressure normalizes. Cholesterol normalizes type two diabetes goes away,

Energy goes through the roof.

energy goes up, aches and pains go away. If I haven't already said that, And if you're someone that has multiple diagnoses like these, you're probably thinking, I've got a separate treatment protocol for each of these that I'm going to have to do. I'm gonna have to put more effort, more monitoring of my blood pressure, my blood sugar. Every three months, I've gotta go get my cholesterol check. I have to take my medication, but I don't like it because it makes my muscles ache. It becomes, again, more effort with less result because yeah, your cholesterol's down a little bit. But those plaques, they're still accumulating

Research Plus A Clear System

Have you ever been at a place in your life where you felt so exhausted just by keeping up with the. Doctor's appointments, trying to schedule them, keep up with them, get back to get your refills going to fill it at the pharmacy, dealing with the side effects, needing a new medication, I could go on and on. It is exhausting. So if you're in that place, we wanna say we understand because we've been there and we've seen people go through it. When we were working in the typical traditional medical system, Jared's a physician assistant, I'm a nurse. We worked with patients In the traditional medical model for years with, before we knew lifestyle medicine, before we had our own healing, before we worked with clients on a regular basis of how to heal their bodies with the garden way. We were just helping people manage their diseases instead of getting to the root cause of the problem, which is inflammation. And guess what? The way that God created us to eat and the perfect foods that he created for us to enjoy and for our bodies to be optimally fueled on. Are the simplest, most delicious, least time consuming foods you could ever imagine. And they're not addictive, which we find a lot of the animal products are very addictive, and they're known to not only not cause the common diseases of our time, but to actually be able to reverse them. It's crazy. Think about the God diet. Think about getting back to the garden, the garden way of eating. It's the same as I'm saying with your spiritual walk. What if you could do that with the foods you eat? And the great news is you can and you are going to have so much freedom. You've been trained to believe eating this way, doing these things, it's restrictive. It'll be hard. It won't taste good. You won't like it. You'll have to, we'll power through. How can anybody do that? It's extreme. No. What's extreme is having to have your chest cracked open at 40.'cause you have to have vessels ripped out of your legs to do open heart surgery. That's extreme. This is not extreme. This is enjoyable. It's simple, it's delicious, and it frees you now like picture yourself not having the food noise anymore. Not constantly thinking about food, constantly thinking about what am I gonna eat? All these things that are happening because of the addiction to these foods that originally were not planned to be a part of our life. And so that's why we see that when we get back to his best, yes, there are other things he allows for us to do now, like I talked about in the last episode, but when you get back to his best, his original plan. Where we were always meant to be. We see day after day as medical providers. I could read you testimony after testimony of people who have gotten free from the most common diseases of our time, and that includes things that first start happening before you even get a diagnosis, a label to put on it, like low energy headaches. I just wanna feel good, you know, being in that place. I just want my body to back me up. I'm sick of not having body confidence. To go into this meeting or to accept this opportunity because I don't feel like I look good and I don't fit in my clothes anymore. They're uncomfortable. All those things when you can naturally drop weight. Jared and I lost over 75 pounds together eating this weight. Never measuring a calorie, a gram, a macro, a portion, none of it. Never feeling deprived or not liking what we ate. We love what we eat. It's delicious. It's such a no brainer once you learn the power on plant's way. It is just such a no brainer. We've had so many people tell us who've even tried eating whole food plant-based. Once they can get the garden way and they get free from these things that have been holding them back, they're like, it's just so simple. I mean, I can't believe it. I have people look at the recipes and go, I cannot believe this. Like I'll look at other vegan recipes and then your recipe has five ingredients. Literally, Carrie said this. She said, I looked at your tomato soup recipe and I love creamy tomato soup, so I thought, there's no way this tastes good. Like this is funny. And she called her husband. She said, come look at this. This is hilarious. Carrie, I love you, girl. If you're listening, I'm so proud of you. She has come such a long way, and she is doing amazing now. But she learned by hanging out with us, like how to shop from her pantry. That was one of her big goals. She wanted to learn how to just look in her pantry and be able to fix things that she loved. But she calls her husband over and she says, there's just no way this is gonna be good. Look at these ingredients. She was sharing with me this story when we were talking, and she said, and I tried it and we could not believe it. I was sitting there shocked, this is so good. And it literally took me five minutes in a high speed blender and soup is on the table. It's easier, it's quicker, and I feel great. I don't have any of the side effects, and now I'm having these symptoms reversed. And that's what we see all the time, it's about getting your life back. And for us, this is about so much more than just getting healthy. It's about all those things that God's placed in your heart. In all of our hearts, this is a kingdom movement. This is not about one person getting healthy, although we care about you as an individual. This is about bringing his kingdom come to earth. How are we as God's people supposed to advance his kingdom when we're stuck, trapped in bodies that are sick and unable to back us and living out? The God-given dreams that he's placed on our hearts, how can we even dream? Maybe you're in a place where you've stopped dreaming. You know? So many of us get to the place where we're like, I'm just trying to survive. I mean, I just don't wanna die earlier. I don't want my kids and grandkids to have to take care of me when I'm older, you know? So this is so simple, and the reason it's simple is because it's God's way. It's not man's way. It's the original design and now we have all the medical research that's actually reliable and Jared knows he can look at research studies and know whether something is reliable or not, and that's why we eat the way we do because he knows how to look at it and go, okay. This is not reliable because of this or that, or this or that, or it was reliable because of these certain things that were in place. And he knows that because he has a cellular and molecular biology degree and worked in research and Medical University of South Carolina for years. So it's like this passion of hits. He loves studying the research, nerding out on it, looking all this stuff. and that's what makes what we do so different than a lot of other people. We've looked at the research, we've dug into it. We've had the experience ourselves, and we've led so many patients and clients through it now, and it just works time and time again. I wanna leave you with an example here. If you're going to the store, if the grocery store is say five, 10 miles away, you could ride your bike there. You could have a basket on the back of your bike. You could put the groceries on there. That is a way of doing it, and it will get you there, but it's gonna be a lot of effort. You're only gonna be able to bring a couple bags back because you don't have a big trunk.

And I'm gonna tell you this, you might do it for a week, you might do it for two weeks, but after about a month, you're in your car again.

Then you have a car. It takes much less effort. You can carry more stuff, and it's just more efficient, so you get more work done. With less effort. It feels like a cheat code, but when you follow the ways that work, when you're in sync with what God has established, you will get more done with less effort.

Make Plant Based Life Real

Anita

That's so good. The power plants weight is the cheat code. Jared, I love that you're dropping the gold again because it's so true. Feel like you're cheating.'cause all of a sudden you're freed from these manmade ways of trying to get healthy. And you're loving life and you're living life and you're not googling your symptoms and you love your food and you're getting outta the kitchen quicker than ever. It's just a no brainer. this is the way. So Why are whole plant foods the simplest lasting way to gain energy and lose weight when you know how and when you have the system that's in place? Why is it? It's because it was the original way your body was designed to eat? Then Anita, why do I need a system? You need a system because your body's been hijacked and you've been living in man's ways for so long. You are not gonna go sit down and start eating salad for every meal and like it and have this last, it's not gonna work. It just doesn't work that way.

Or go through all the hours or even years of the research that we have

Anita

Right, the trial and error, trying to figure it all out. How do I replace this? What, where do I shop? what brands should I buy? Is this okay? Is that okay? being able to watch somebody just go in the kitchen and cook the meals. I mean, watch it step by step on like a few minute video where it's so simple. No fluff, not 30 minutes of talking with one recipe. That's absolutely ridiculous. We're busy, we don't have time for that stuff. So when we do in the kitchen videos for you, it's like you're watching our hands in the bowl or doing the thing and we're explaining it and it is quick, easy, done, and your mind's gonna be blown. Being able to see it before you make it. cause that's one of the shifts that you're gonna go. Cannot believe how easy this is, and you'll be like, Carrie, going, there's no way that's gonna taste good. And you're gonna try it. And you're gonna say, why in the world have I been doing what I've been doing to myself for 14 years, 16 years? Maybe some of you, it's been 30 or 40 years of the crazy manmade dieting methods and it's just not necessary. And it's so crazy because now. That there's AI and there's more ability to get stuff out on social media, and people are pumping out like a hundred posts a day. There's all these nutritional gurus on there, do this, do that, do this, do that, and your brain's about to explode because number one, you don't know what to do. And number two, if you did the things that they said to do. You could never stick with it because it's miserable. And you're thinking, oh, so that's what I'm gonna have to do. Oh, so that's what I'm gonna have to do. And you're all worried about the food and what you're doing, and are you messing yourself up trying to figure it out and piece it together and we piece together the system for you. You don't have to do any of that. Figuring it out and trying to break the addictions. You learn how to get your mindset right, and I know mindset sounds woowoo, but we don't do the woowoo mindset stuff. It's literally what has been sabotaging you. And the truth that sets you free and what has been sabotaging you and the truth that sets you free. It's like no fluff. Here's what it is. Then your environment, what is around you that is setting you up for success are draining you and keeping you sabotaged. Right? So that's people. It's not just the foods, it's the people, places and things. And we go through all of those step by step And that's so important for you to learn because the environment affects you more than you probably realize. And then we talk about how do you make it taste amazing and make it so fast? You're out of the kitchen in no time Living the life you wanna live. And then how do you make it simple? Like do you do when your family and friends don't eat whole food, plant-based and you're the only one? How do you dine out and still enjoy life? How do you travel? What do you eat? What do you do with that? All these different questions you have. How do you have people over? what do you take to different functions when you wanna go and just have a really good time and hang out with your friends and not worry about the food or be food psycho, right? These are the things that you need to know, and that's what we love walking you through.
