If you heard last week's episode, you heard a little teaser about this week's episode that I'm surprising Anita. She has no idea what the topic of today's podcast is.

Anita

He's had me in a lot of suspense.

Jarrod

Well, suspense. No more. Today's episode topic is the top three killers in America, so I am quizzing you. Anita, what do you think the top three killers are in America? Looking at health.

Anita

Number one, poor nutrition.

Jarrod

Okay, you wanna do number two and three?

Anita

I would say diagnosis, like if you're looking for diagnosis, I'm not sure, but I feel like poor nutrition and not knowing what to do is number one. But if you're looking for diagnosis, I would say heart attacks would be one. I don't know if you're looking for more specific like high blood pressure.

Jarrod

Those are the answers that I was expecting to get, but I'm doing a little twist today and I'm going to do a rolling reveal. I'm not gonna give them all three to you at the same time. I'm gonna give them to you one at a time.

Anita

Killer One Ignorance And The Root Cause

Jarrod

Yes. Yes you are. You're a participant and a listener. Number one for the top three killers in America. First one, ignorance, ignorance, not knowing, People just don't know what they need to do to get healthy. Now, obviously we talk about it many times here on our podcast.

Anita

but you're saying ignorance is not bliss,

Jarrod

it may feel like. bliss at the time, but what you do not know can and will hurt you.

Anita

What is the ignorance around? That's what I wanna know. If it's a top killer and you're saying it is, then what is the ignorance around? What type of ignorance are you talking about here?

Jarrod

It's ignorance of the root cause of health issues and ignorance. The not knowing. It's not as far as being stupid or not smart or whatever. It's simply not knowing that whole food plant base can help get rid of most of our chronic conditions here in the United States.

Anita

this reminds me of a Bible verse that people. Often use, and they quote it this way, my people perish for lack of knowledge. But if you look at that Bible verse, so I wanna clear this up right away because we need to be informed when we're hearing these things. You need knowledge'cause otherwise you're gonna perish. That's not what that verse says it actually says, without knowledge of Torah or without knowledge of God's words and his ways, you will perish. Let that sink in for just a minute, because you hear that as an entrepreneur quoted all the time, oh, you need knowledge. you need to learn this thing or that thing. But what it's talking about, the knowledge of God's ways and what we know is eating whole plant foods according to Genesis 1 29, is God's original and optimal plan for fueling our bodies. Again, you can look at Daniel for more information about that. God allows us to do a lot of things. He allows us to have kings. It wasn't his original plan if he was our king. Do you think things would be going better than having the kings and leaders we have today? I would say yes.

Jarrod

Anita

And so we have walked into a system of eating that was never God's original plan for us. and even though he's allowed some of the way things are happening today, some people are doing things he specifically said not to do when it comes to food, and those things were never food. But I'm not even going into that today. What I'm saying is if we stick with the original design. It is his best plan, and that's what that's talking about. My people perish for lack of knowledge. So let's get to know the garden way. If we can get back to the garden, then that ignorance fades away and we go, oh, wow. Then we find out his yoke is easy. His burden is like, that's what we see every time we step into doing something his way. We find that it's so much simpler than the manmade ways. Think about how difficult dieting has been for you, if you've ever done that before. Jared and I together lost over 75 pounds, which tells you we were over 75 pounds overweight. I mean, I have the pictures, I have the videos to

Jarrod

I knew you were going there. I knew, you were going there.

Anita

So if, we have that, and we have so many clients that have dropped the weight just by eating the garden way, but yet still enjoying what's on their plate. This is the way that you can make it last, you learn this system that allows you to go back to the original way. You unlearn the ignorance that you've gained by the world systems, and now you're all of a sudden finding yourself walking with God, talking in the garden, getting incredible ideas.'cause your brain can function. You know, this reminds me of When I first asked my friend Kimberly, when we started powering plants, I said, I don't understand why God's calling us to do this, because there's so many other things that we could teach. We could be Bible teachers. We love digging into the word, looking into Hebrew, looking into the Greek. What's God trying to say to us? What's he speaking in our quiet time and helping people come to a higher level. Why food? I mean, we're in bodies that eventually are going to be revamped, we're gonna have a new and improved body. And she said, Anita, don't you understand that when you are in a place where you're constantly dealing with health struggles, you have no energy, you have no mental clarity. You can't even think to the next step to do the things God's called you to do. So in order to complete your calling, you have to escape the ignorance and get back to the garden and learn the way to do it that it will last Without applying manmade ways to it. So you escape the ignorance of what's going on today in the healthcare space of the gurus that are all online confusing you because they're throwing out this new thing and that new thing. Let's just get back to the garden and learn how to make it work when we've been hijacked.'cause think about how long have you been hijacked into dieting mentality and you come into living this way and you think. I need to now apply those old methods to this way of living, and that's why so many of our clients have worked in the past, even to eat whole food, plant-based, and it just hasn't worked.

Jarrod

And I suppose to be fair, you apply these methods because that's what you know, but we're here to tell you there is a better way. But to some degree it does make sense that we have ignorance of what we've been talking about with the whole plant foods because most of us have grown up where supermarkets have all those brightly colored boxes and. Packages of these pre-made over-processed foods that have exploded in the last, what, 50, 60, 70 years? But you go past a hundred years ago, it was very, very different. So our great grandparents would say, what's this mess on the shelf? I'm not eating that. But now we see and think, oh, that's just normal. That's just my diet. That's just what we eat.

Anita

but maybe you're thinking, I don't eat that. I don't eat any of that crap anymore. I eat whole clean organic grass thread, free range cage free. not knowing that those foods were never originally intended to fuel our body optimally. Jared and I thought when we were having our worst struggles at age 40, that that was the way to do things. We were literally going to the farm, buying fresh milk, buying sides of beef. That were grass fed, a hundred percent. Do you know that what you're buying in the store that's called grass fed is probably not grass fed? It probably has been fed a lot of mess on top of the grass.

Jarrod

they may have been fed some grass,

Anita

They have

Jarrod

but maybe not all

Anita

huge loopholes. There are some eye-opening moments headed your way as you start learning. Getting into our world, but I just want you to know that it's not just about the junk food. Yes. You need to get off of those things and find the way to do that, that you're gonna be satisfied and love what you're eating so that you can stick with it and it's gonna work with your busy schedule. It absolutely has to. Or you know, it's never gonna work long term, so you have to escape those dieting methods, and the ignorance that they placed you in, But also learning about the animal products. What are they actually doing on the inside of you? Yes, you can get some results when you go off the junk food and you're still eating some animal products, but we have to look at what's going on underneath the surface and what we know and what research shows us time and again, and what we see every time we help somebody walk through our five step system and get freed from those foods that our bodies were not originally designed to run on. You get free, you get set free, and health becomes so simple and so delicious.

Killer Two Arrogance And Tunnel Vision

Jarrod

Our number two killer is arrogance.

Anita

Ooh.

Jarrod

Arrogance. So yes, this is refusing to consider that you might be wrong with the method that you're doing. So you were just talking about some different ways to eat. This would be like people eating keto or carnivore. They may get some results. But they don't recognize the full extent of what's going on. They don't recognize that there might be a better way that even though they're getting results or they're controlling a number, that there may be something going on under the surface.

Anita

Yeah. If you're like me, you've reached a point where you're like, I'm over feeling like I know it all. I'm over feeling like I know it all. There's always something else to learn, and as long as you stay in that space and you're receptive, you can learn what God wants to show you. So no matter what area of life you're in, don't enter into pride and arrogance thinking that you know it all. Because we thought we had it figured out whenever we were going to the farm.

Jarrod

We thought we did

Anita

But now looking back, I'm like, I wish someone would've introduced us to this sooner. It wasn't that we were arrogant to the point of not being receptive, but what happens a lot of times is you think you got it figured out, and so then you get.

Jarrod

tunnel vision maybe.

Anita

You develop animosity almost towards a different way of doing things that might be the right way. I mean, we see this with a lot of people, like Jared said, who are eating keto and carnivore. Even recently, someone telling a client, You know, I'm really worried about you. Like there's no way you're getting your protein, you're missing out on so many nutrients you need, you're gonna end up really messed up. Well, that's not what the research shows, the reliable research that's knocked back by the animal council. And Jared knows because this is his passion. He has a cellular molecular biology degree on top of being a pa. And I just want you to know that, to understand we're not just grasping at straws and, grabbing every research. Paper that we see out there, a report we see out there. We look at who's funding this, where's this coming from, what kind of sample of people did they use? All these different things that you need to look at to see is re research reliable. He even worked at Medical University, South Carolina in the research department doing research so he knows a thing or two about research methods and how to look at these studies So that we can give you the things that are reliable and what we know is the research shows beyond the shadow of a doubt, and it has shown it for years and years, that eating whole plant foods is what is going to bring you to the optimal state that your body can function in, so that you can fully finally have your body backing you up and you can live your God-given calling to the extent that you were created to live it. Maybe you're already having some success. But when your body's fully backing you, what's gonna become possible then? And that's what we're talking about.

Jarrod

Yes, we don't run with just the latest TikTok videos. We wanna make sure that our information is reliable and credible.

Anita

And it's not just the research though, We started implementing what we were finding in the research, and lo and behold, symptoms started going away. All those pounds dropped off. My fibrocystic breast disease went away. My inflamed bladder disease that I was told I would have for years and need to be on steroids forever went away, gone. All these different things, arthritis that was starting to set in, the pain in the joints, low energy, mental fog, all gone. Where did it go? It wasn't going away with the. Whole food way of eating that included animal products. So this is what we are telling you, and Jared and I are not the food police. what we want you to know, if you're just meeting us for the first time, if you've been here for a while, you already know this, but we're not gonna tell you you have to do this, you have to do that. You decide what results you want. And then you do based on the results you want. So if you want partial results, you do a little more than what you're doing now with whole plant foods. and if you want maximum results and you want Your Body, the way it was created to function, you go all in and you learn the way that you're gonna love it so that it'll last enjoyable, exciting, say that the way I eat is going to be enjoyable and exciting. That is what we're all about because then that's where the arrogance melts away. Killer Three Complacency And Overwhelm

Jarrod

So you have to decide what you want and then reverse engineer the way to get there. So now number three, I'm gonna give you in just a moment, number one is ignorance. Number two is arrogance. Number three, it's complacency. It's knowing something is wrong, but not really caring enough to change. People know that their health, there's something wrong that maybe they've gone to some providers, they've gotten some medication, nothing's quite working, but there's just not enough push or drive to dig deeper. Like. where we were years ago, we knew something was wrong, seeing doctors getting lab work, but instead of just saying, well, that's just how it is, whatever, we decided to take more action, dig deeper. And then find what we now know as the Power on Plants Method.

Anita

And maybe you're like, I was, and you reach that point in your health and you're going, there has to be something more. More that my body can do for me, more that someone can show me, that I can get out of the mess I'm in. I'm sick of dealing with this, Googling my symptoms, going to multiple doctor's appointments, managing all that on my calendar, getting a new med, needing another med to deal with the side effects of that med all the time in the pharmaceutical line, making sure I have my refills up to date. All that stuff just gets overwhelming. And you think, I can't just let this slide, I can't be complacent. There has to be someone out there with the answer. And the great news is there is

Jarrod

It's easy to underestimate just how much time gets spent in the Googling of symptoms and going down the different rabbit holes and looking for that right supplement that never really quite seemed to do. At least what you hoped it would do.

Anita

Do you think, Jared, that sometimes the complacency comes from feeling so overwhelmed because there's so much mess out there by all the gurus now, especially now that people can kick out a hundred pieces of social media. In an hour using ai, so it's not even genuine. They're cranking out the stuff that it's like, write me a hundred pieces of blah, blah, blah. And it's not even their ideas and stuff that they're putting into ai, they're cranking this stuff out and it's giving false information. And so now you're like, I don't know who I can trust. And you've got people calling themselves, health coaches, you don't have any training or any background. They don't know about the body. They don't know how to help you get next level, but yet they're giving you information and you're listening to it. Somehow they get your. Ear and now you're confused because you hear this is right. No, this is right. This is right. No, this is right. And it's conflicting information and it's very confusing and it's so important for you to be able to escape complacency, to know that you have someone reliable who can help you through the steps. So you can escape the confusion and the overwhelm that keeps holding you back because you just don't know what to do.

Jarrod

I feel like that might be a little different because I feel like that is overload and then those people reach a point of resignation. Complacency's, almost like, I know something's wrong, but I really, I, I'm just, I'm binge watching Netflix, so I'm okay. I mean, is it optimal? Can I go run a hundred yards? No, but what ifs.

Anita

And I would say that if you're in that place of complacency where you're like, I'd rather binge watch Netflix than get better, this is not the place for you. We love you, but there's somebody out there that may be better for you to listen to because we are here for you. When you know you've got a bigger dream and a vision on your heart, something that God has for you to do, if that's you, you are this community, this is your family. You have found your place. If you're tired of being in the room where people are not getting results because they are complacent, They just want like a pill and a quick fix. We're so over that and our clients are too. And if you feel that same way and you think, you know what, I've just gotta escape where I don't know what to do and get in the room where I can learn exactly what to do in the way that's simple and effective. You have found your family.
